STICKY PLEASE MODS!

Its time again to start polishing those camshafts and fitting those line locks.

2015 will be the year of the Ute. Hopefully Gareth is taking his NA stroker which he tells me is far more mental than his supercharged GTS. (As if that's a surprise..)

We have already booked our accomodation. Be there or be square.

Sturdy, you need to make this a road trip. Its pure V8 porn for 3 solid days.

2nd, 3rd and 4th of July 2015

Plan is usually off Tuesday AM, Arrive Wed PM with a stop in/near Jutland on the way.
Thurs->Sat is burnouts, oil, pizza, pics etc then drive off Sunday AM arriving at the ferry/tunnel mid afternoon on the Monday.

Its about 2500 miles. Thunder road speeds in Germany at times. So budget 20mpg ish.. Unless you follow Gurmeet, in which case budget 35mph/mpg, but twice as many stops for all the extra meal and toilet breaks you will need.

Take it Roger. Definitely the right place to be.
Gurmeet will struggle to keep up. But there is plenty of time to get to the stops.

Ok, we already have accommodation.

So the idea is to sort that out yourselves ASAP!
Reason is things book up fast. We are a little SW of Vasteras and thats a good place to be in general.

As for channel crossing and en-route accommodation we will sort that out close to the time. This can be coordinated at that point.

Dont know about Lurch, there is only one bathroom its more of a semi hotel/bed sit.

So Gareth and I will be there, there is one other room spare with 2 beds which were penciled for you and your mate, but can go to someone else etc.

They said camping in the back yard was fine. Not sure about bathrooms though..

I actually dont mind mate where we stop. Around the area was good. Bremen traffic was bad. Or was that Hamburg. Anyway, that might play into it.

I don't mind where we stop on the way there or back.

I'll be staying overnight in Dover on the Monday and then taking the tunnel to get across first thing Tuesday morning. I'm assuming others will be taking the tunnel too so will plan to meet there.

I also don't intend to be hanging about watching the MPG on the way there - I'm all up for high speed cruising for the most part where we can smile
You will want to come with Gareth and I then wink

Ill be doing the tunnel again too. We can synch with any faeries when the hit land..

Hamburg seems like a good overnight stop to me.

Google maps says 6 hours 45 minutes from hamburg to calais, assuming no stops and traffic.

So you could still make a 5pm crossing quite easily with a few stops and a small amount of traffic
Id be tempted to stay either side so we dont hit the actual city in rush hour.

Yeah I prefer the road. Ferry has loads of hanging around.

For a break stopping somewhere on the way would be preferable IMO.
