Heya guys wavey, I am a new member for the Holden Hoon club after ordering a new VXR8 GTS at the weekend.

I have gone for a Perfect Blue model which means I get to jump the build queue as Bellingers has one on order for stock that should arrive early December and everyone else is going for the boring colours of Red/Black/White biggrinparty

Looks like you lot have some good meets so hope to join in on these soon. (BTW, I think I might be a lot younger than the rest of you wink )

Haha, not quite that young but all the previous oldies owning these big V8's have certainly helped the insurance profile. Insurance is only about £100 more than for my 320cd bimmer! (errrr, did I just own up to owning a BMW in here? Whoops! laugh)

Definitely going for the loud and proud approach to this car, need to get in touch with WP and see what magic they can do and then go and remortgage the house to afford it laugh

Yeah, Edward @ Bellingers did say that there was a massive difference in profile of owners for this new model compared to previous generations of VXR8.

23 and owning a new one of these! Blimey, I thought at 30 getting one was a fair achievement.

To be fair to Betty (my beemer), she has done what was needed of her as I was an IT consultant so clocking up the miles, now I commute into London, her time is up and I need a toy for the weekends biggrin

It certainly is, sorry I should have been clearer I just meant as in owning any of the cars, new or used. Forgive my confusion, you see we don't often talk money / finance packages / options levels / resale colours over here, that stuff's for the German marque forums hehe

Look forward to pictures of the car, I'm over in Aylesbury so you're not far away thumbup
Gotcha! Don't worry, I am being a bit special today (just today?)

Option levels? Colour, Auto, Sunroof. Blue, no, no laugh

Yeah, looking forward to seeing the colour myself. Have test driven both cars Bellingers have had in (the VX press car and their new demonstrator) and they have both been red! Such an unoriginal colour wink

Welcome to our little corner of Pistonheads.

Congratulations on the purchase, and from the conversation so far, I think you will fit right in. cool

Can you come along to Surry Rolling Road next month for the social, even if you don't have your car?
Cheers buddy smile

I might be driving over to Switzerland on the 18th, but may be able to persuade the wife to postpone departure by a day wink

If before you get yours you are ever up in Yorkshire give me a shout as mine is perfect blue. So you can have a look at the colour in the flesh.
Thank you very much mate. You are the one who got the tourer aren't you? A lovely motor that. I think the closest to Yorkshire I will be is the Peak District the first weekend of December, which I may be really lucky and have picked the car up by then!

There will be other times. Let her know that you have given up a social for time with her, and it will earn you brownie points for goodies for the car. wink
meh, I bought her flowers yesterday, I'm good for a few months yet laugh It is a 2 week holiday on an off the cuff basis so not really going to affect plans too much anyway.

Hopefully Sarge 4x4 will chime in shortly, in the next few days anyway, think he's in France at the mo? He's had his Gen F breathed on by Walkinshaw, he can let you know what was done and what they achieved smile
IIRC 700+ fwbhp and 650ish rwbhp. Am also on vxro, just thought it was a bit more mature in here and more owners biggrin

Yeah, earlier figures were what someone else said, went back to see what sarge said himself. Forgot how much transmission loss these buggers have.
