It lives..

Gen-F, Vauxhall VXR8 Maloo is the "official" name. Which will help with insurance no doubt.

Hoping to get better pics tomorrow. These are Dougie's (Thanks mate!)

Yeah this shows the colour better..

The wait was ok as the VE kept me sane. This will be a downgrade in performance. Ill be keeping both. This one is for work. Auto mind..

the appeal of the utes
Simply. Its a business expense. Its a commercial vehicle so you get VAT back and its purchased from gross earnings, not net after tax etc.
Same applies to running costs..

That is the appeal wink

Plus its faster than all the FI sedans over the quarter!

Its the SV-R8 model, which means bimodal exhaust and intake for a 340kw OEM rating, aka 453bhp which in theory is 360rwhp odd (~340rwhp in auto form).
Hopefully it will make its way to the dyno day next month.

More pics from today..

Click through slideshow, hopefully should work.

Thanks Dougie for letting me behind the gates to take a look.

Gareth, your £300 buys more than a steel rim. There is a big hole in mine where the cradle and brackets would go for the spare.
So I think it was well spent. Ill sling a spare in the back instead when needed.

HUD looks good. You can move it up and down the screen and change the data displayed.
Also screen can show extra gauges, manifold pressure, instant fuel consumption and other odds and sods.

Its even got UK Sat Nav, though tragically only first 4 digits! Still at least you can get started and zero in with the phone/google near the end. Not sure if it has full europe maps or not forgot to ask.

Also forgot to check the asymmetric axle shafts. Exhaust looked ok and was pretty loud (And a bit droney)

Seats are manual adjust, which I prefer, with electric lumbar and up/down.

Lots of lateral G, lap timers etc with an output port.

Too many electric toys to mess with. Push button start worked ok. Not sure how you go into accessory mode though..
