Car I has not been used as much since I moved to the West Country, so after one dead battery I purchased a new one with a solar trickle charger.

The new battery has gone flat, I've checked I hadn't left any lights on and I did a voltage check when I fitted the new one. I have a small current draw and before I start pulling fuses I noticed the clock is not turning off, if I remember rightly this would turn off once the car was locked. I went out last night and I could see it there all green..... Still showing the time!

Car is fitted with a parrot kit, which recently had a new controller but apart from that it is a run of the mill ls2 vxr monaro.

Anyone come across this? Or knows if the clock should switch off, I'm doubting myself a bit now as it's not something I really remember looking at.....

I've had a look into this some more today, I see a few posts on the us sites that point to either ignition barrel failure or bvm loom shorting behind the glove box, I did have that fail a few months ago so I'll look there first. Fingers crossed
