I'm going along as it's not far. I think Gruffy will be there too. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

wtf, its for charity !!
PH are sensitive about charity postings and cross postings, the previous thread on here was deleted a few days ago (not by me) and I have been working with both parties to smooth things over after Jamie was taken to one side. This thread has been approved as long as it's "low key"

Just an idea chaps, would anyone be up for meeting at The Heath, my local pub/Restaurant for a Costa / Breakfast, then we could convoy from there to Beaulieu, only 5 mins away.
Post code for the Heath is SO45 5PW. Opens at 7pm. So any time you like.
Regards

Sorry to shatter the illusion, feel free to keep saying how evil we are though
That made me spit my coffee out Just to clarify for everybody: Jamie started a "charity" thread and cross posted it in several PH forums. This breach of the rules resulted in him being sin-binned and the threads removed. Some of us spent a considerable amount of time getting Jamie released from the sin-bin and finding a way that he could be supported. Nathan kindly suggested that somebody could start a "mini-meet" thread for those of us who are attending the event. That's what this thread is, it is not a charity thread per se and was not started by Jamie or anyone else for that purpose.
PH has been criticised heavily on this forum for allowing posts on other forums that would not have been allowed here. Now that the consistency has turned full circle and is being applied here there should be little grounds for complaint.
Or should we continue with the situation where 50% of people think that an exception should be made and then the other 50% complain about inconsistency when it is?

The wife and I will drive down around lunchtime... will everyone still be there?
Will we have a Monaro / HSV area?
I think we'll all still be there well into the afternoon. I'm not sure how the parking will be arranged so we'll have to see on the day. I know there are efforts to have parking "sections" for different marques. Will we have a Monaro / HSV area?
See you on Sunday
