Well ive not been happy with the brakes since day 1. standard brakes are just too easy to fade .
I used to run a 330 bmw that had bigger stoppers. I upgraded those a few years back .
when I sold it on I kept the upgraded brakes.
Ive done some research on cheaper options than standard and upgraded Monaro stuff.
I found some discs from a bmw a 550 to be good for fitment and a nice healthy 348mm.
custom hoses from HEL
had some custom billet brackets and spigot rings made up from a mate of mine .
Finished work early today and got stuck in .dark set in just as I was finishing.

need bedding in excuse the poor pic but dark and flashes don't help

for those who want to know . aston db9 monoblock 4 pots.

How much did the bits cost?
I already had the calipers. but they cost 180
discs are 100 each
brackets and spigot rings were 110
and hoses were 50 quid .

Nice job. I'm sure you could sell some of the brackets now you know the geometry and knock a few more quid off that if you are so inclined.
The man who made the brackets has plastic template so if anyone else wanted he could make more.

cheers guys.

They work a treat . pedal feel is way better than oe stoppers.

Stopping power is far superior and less resistant to fade. all good . apart from

more difficult to clean around..cant get my hand in between so brush it is
