As above really.

I was going through Central London this morning. I was in traffic on A501 just before Euston Station, and to my eyes there was a black old shape Toyota Prius going in the opposite direction. I thought nothing of it, until its plate looked resemblant to mine. I looked again. That was my plate!!!

Cut the long story short, someone has cloned my plates, and is now using whilst up to no good...

Of course, I reported crime...

I knew this was the first conclusion someone would come up with... Well, my other car is a V8! And seriously, someone has really cloned my plate. Not chuffed. Can't wait to start receiving unpaid CC fines and other tickets.

Well, Prius is no longer C/C exempt as the threshold has been lowered about 2 - 3 years ago to, I think 70 or 80 CO2 wink That was an old shape with 104, even the later model had as much as 92CO2. Don't ask me how I know this wink

Kmud, someone has clearly thought they would be clever and under the radar. Let's face it, who would use a Prius as a crime tool? Well, unless you have watched "The other guys" wink

Correct.

On the other hand, in a thousand cars driven past me this morning I managed to spot the very one with my plates on. I mean, that is a coincidence right?

I also know of situations where a brand new car would leave a showroom with wrong plates on it.

It took two years for a Yaris driver to realise that his plates belonged to a Jaguar XF. I used to work in that showroom wink

As for the plate, it's *******.
