Hi
As per title I have missed out on another Monaro this time in Kent made arrangements to go see it and then it went, not too fussed what I want CV8 or VXR 5.7 or 6.0 they all seem to be a million miles away or not right don't really want a silver one but any other colour would be good. Got £7,000 to play with but can go to £8000 for the right one. Kev

Just dump the LPG. Its a muscle car, not a fork lift. wink

Silver is easy to keep clean looking. wink
Yup I won't be going to Belfast anytime soon thanks for everybodies replies I looked at one last month that was cheap and that was going to be a money pit to get back to anything reasonable let alone good so there is always a reason they are cheap, I know these cars can make you poor and am willing to work with them but I don't really want to be on a loser from the word go, also it is advertised on a website called driftworks and that implies it has been used for drifting so had a hard life, and as put they are muscle cars, so LPG has a no place, for me fuel costs are not a problem. I know I am asking a lot for the money I have, it just seems they have started to go up in value and what could have brought a nice car a year ago buys a mediocre car today.

I was offered this car last month from an Ireland Dealer, as reg plate is the same. he was trying to deal with owner on a PX. it was offered to me as an LS1 5.7 as thats what reg doc said. but now looks like a 6.0 VXR

It was described as a bit of a creature and way below average condition !! said it had lots of paintwork, scruffy and had overspray on most panels and very kerbed alloys. car was offered at around £6k. no S/History so miles were unwarranted. He said it looked like it had done more

he said if someone had the time it could be smartened up a bit or maybe broken for spares as it required a lot money for proper refurb

Still good value to the right person now its appears its a 6.0

due to location, unconfirmed mileage and condition - I declined
Good to have your input James thankyou. smile
