Quick header advise

After a little help if possible, new here with a 04 cv8

Are the vxr headers a worthwhile upgrade or is it better to go for a full long header setup ie pacemakers

Currently a very good friend is working for BMW in Sydney and had managed to sort some fairly good shipping rates.
Hsv shorty headers are cheap and plentiful in Australia but are they worth it?

The car is fairly low, but I am budget conscious also. No stranger to cars having just sold my e30 v8 racecar as I wanted to make a change to the ls motor.

Various other plans with the motor so another question is will the shorty headers become a limitation, I am talking bolt ons only, maybe cam/supercharger

Super helpful forum, very different to the bmw forums of the world!
I should be able to nip down. Ill take the company car though...diesel and all that!

But i was surprised how much fits in the back of a monaro, 2 bikes in the boot!
Looking forward to hooking it all up!
