In desperate need of a diff for an 02 Ute
Discussion
Greetings forum members.
I'm sorry to be so upfront after just joining this forum but I have only recently acquired my 2002 Ute and I have faced a few problems.
The current problem is the pinion gear broke off a tooth in the 3.9 KAAZ diff. I intend on buying a new gear set and having it rebuilt eventually but I need to get her back on the road ASAP for now.
I have contacted the normal channels of Monkfish etc and have got a few options but nothing that is particularly speedy.
Does anyone have a spare diff that I could purchase and that ideally lives close to me in Surrey? Any ratio will do at this point!
Many thanks in advance,
Ollie.

Many thanks for the quick replies!
@ARAF I am in contact with Gary near Birmingham (I think) regarding a diff he has but its buried and still on the car. I will attempt to make contact with Brett, thank you.
@GaryNoGrip Does that mean you have one in stock now or two on Monday? If you have one now I could and collect later!! I don't care about the ratio at this point as I will have the 3.9 Kaaz to rebuild later. PM contact details if you do. Cheers.

I may have sorted one from GaryNoGrip.
Thanks to you all for the help but I have one question in regards to the diff nose sizes. I am by no means an expert but in my searches for a diff I have been told that older Holdens have universal joints, the 5.7L's have smaller doughnut flanges and from the 6.0L's onwards Holden made those doughnuts slightly larger. In aid of making sure the one Gary has is correct for my ute, does anyone know the size difference between the two doughnut flanges? He said it was from a CV8 and from looking at the Wiki that could be 5.7L or 6.0L!

So, the Ute is fixed!
Thanks again for everyone's help on the matter, especially Gary who sold me the diff.
Worth noting that going from a 3.9 to a 3.45 ratio made a huge difference in how she drives. Obviously not as aggressive at all with acceleration but much easier to drive at low speed. When I eventually get he Kaaz diff working I think I might go for 3.7 instead.
