All,

A group of us are planning a meet in Scotland over the weekend of 23rd/24th July. Final details to be confirmed, but the broad plan would be something along the lines of:

Sat PM: Meet up at B&B, maybe a convoy there, food, drink, banter etc
Sun: Driving day, convoy with walkie-talkies! Starting point will be the B&B, time and route to be announced.
Sun late PM: Meet back at B&B, food, drinks etc
Mon: Drive back home

The B&B we will be staying at is:

Premier Inn
Stirling South (M9, J9)
Glasgow Road,
Stirling
Scotland
FK7 8EX

Dates for hotel booking: 2 nights, Sat 23rd and Sun 24th July, checking out Mon 25th.

Anyone wishing to come along feel free to book yourself into the hotel above and stick your name down below. I'll be booking the Monday off work so that I can stay the Sat and Sun night, but appreciate not everyone will be able to do this.

Some of you that live more locally and don't need to stay at the B&B are more than welcome to join us for food/drinks/banter etc, or if you'd just like to meet up with us on the Sunday morning and just do some or all of the driving day then that's all fine too.

Anyone is welcome to join us for as little or as much of the weekend as you like smile

Edit:

Convoy details for those driving from England:

So, the final convoy details are:

1.
Ferry Bridge Services,
WF11 0AF
Departing by 12pm

2.
Scotch Corner Pavilion,
Middleton Tyas,
Richmond
DL10 6PQ
ETA just after 1pm

3.
M6/A74 Northbound Services,
Todhills,
Carlisle,
CA6 4HA
ETA around around 2.30pm

Arrive at Stirling by around 4.30pm in time for well earned beer!

Paul.

Is this now going to be the national meet?
I've purposely not called it the national meet as there was talk about having this in Wales, but maybe this Scotland meet might turn out to be the national meet part 1 smile

frown Why do this & Thunder Road have to be so close together. I'm going to try to make one of these two this year, need to decide which one.
I'm not going to try and sway you either way, as both meets will be great fun with like minded folk.

Leigh, what's the chance you could set off at say 8am ish to get to Ferry Bridge Services (post code WF11 0AF) by 12pm?

If you can do that then we could do the below:

Ferry Bridge Services,
WF11 0AF
leaving at 12pm

M6/A74 Northbound,
Todhills,
Carlisle,
CA6 4HA
Leaving at 2.30pm

Arrive at Stirling by around 4.30pm in time for well earned beer!

I reckon I could do that,my main problem is getting through the Blackwall Tunnel and up to the M11.
Google maps says it's 3hr 10mins from mine to Ferry Bridge.
Looks like I'll have to get up earlier than planned and have fewer beers the night before.cry

I thought your generation got out of bed at like 5am every morning anyway??? wink Set off earlier then and we might even allow you to grab some lunch when you get to Ferry Bridge smile

Is everyone else OK to depart Carlisle at 2.30pm?

Yes can do. Should be around 1pm or just after.

I'll text you if we're going to be late, but it all hangs on if Leigh can make good time from darn sarf.
