Hi chaps, after looking for a while I've finally found the right car and put a deposit down today. Can't wait to get it next week! The noise and the power are immense!!! Apparantly it's been in a magazine and been to monkfish for lots of work! The link is below, anyone know the car?
Cheers

Hi (James, I presume!), thanks for this. I've just done a HPI check and it's showing finance on it which is a bit odd as the V5 showed just one owner since new...scratchchin
I have been conversing with you about a car, but just don't have the time to pop down to sort it out (I have the TT v6 roadster to part ex). This car is local to me so would be ideal. Its a great car so I'd be gutted if there's an issue with the finance. I'm due to go tomorrow to finalise this so won't be buying without full confirmation from the dealer that there are no hidden issues. It seems like a great car. Fingers crossed!!!
Cheers for your advice thumbup

Definitely! Thanks fellas. It's a stunning car and it would be a real shame to let it go. But, it's better than being nearly £13k out of pocket!! I'll see what I can sort out tomorrow before I commit 100%.
Cheers
Simon
Ps, James, I didn't think those others would hang around long!! Haha. If this one falls through, I'll be looking again, and have the cash ready to go if you get anything nice in stock

Hi guys, anyone got any recommendations who to insure a modified car like this with? My current insurer doesn't want to know!

Try SKY insurance
Cheers James. Decent price from Sky with a low excess. Now sorted! I've queried the finance with the dealer and they have confirmed that I will get a clearance letter confirming they have paid off the finance when I get the car, so i'll be checking this very carefully before signing up for the car! Roll on Thursday!!! driving

I had this when I bought my jeep I was told by a friend in the trade to get the details of the finance company and you can ring them direct to confirm there is no outstanding balance on the regestration for that vehicle. I did this and although they wouldn't discuss data about the account they confirmed that the balance had been clear on the day I handed over the cash
I'll definitely be doing this before handing over any cash!
I've seen invoices on the car totalling £15k for the supercharger, sports pack (exhaust system?) , quick steering rack, AP Big Brake system and ripshift(?). The dealer reckons it's rolling roaded at 550 bhp, but I'm dubious of dealer 'sales talk' . It's bloody quick though!! I'm praying the finance thing isn't an issue!!
Cheers

Cheers Dave. It's a stunning car. I just pray that there's no issue with the finance on the car. No time for meets due to the hours I work, unless there's anything near the Wirral area! yes

Aye, cheers guys. I've done a HPI check and it does show finance owing. I called the finance company (motonovo) and they confirmed they still had an interest in the car. The dealer says they will 100% guarantee that the finance will be cleared off and they'll give me confirmation it's been done

Got it!! What a car! The noise is amazing, and the speed...eek

Finance issue was sorted and I now have a clearance letter to confirm everything is fine. I spoke to Mark at Monkfish and he reckons its running 550bhp as a conservative estimate. I can well believe this!

Cheers mate. Yes that's what I like about it. Nice and inconspicuous , well if you're deaf!! Haha. The colours lovely in the sun. But loads of little scratches have started appearing on the bonnet, like they did on my last car while it was sat on the drive. Pesky local cats!!!

The colour is lovely, whatever the weather.

As for the scratches, it's probably the sun that had made them visible.
I'm sure the scratches definitely weren't there when I picked the car up. Must have been, but got overlooked with all the excitement ! Lol
They aren't deep so should be fine to remove
Cheers

Cheers Janosh. I just let my brother in law have a little drive. He didn't even know what it was and had never heard of the Monaro. He was genuinely shocked after his test drive... laugh

Prettiest model in the best colour, and I'm sure it's a fun drive smile
Hi mud, yes it's fantastic to drive. I did want to buy a 6.0 VXR model and didn't even consider the 5.7 models. I made the mistake of 'just going for a quick look ' at this one...yikeslaugh

Have to agree with the other comments. Looks nice and subdued but has 550hp. Definitely the best way.

Welcome and enjoy. I'm sure you will
Thanks mate. I love it already. I'm tempted to completely de-badge it so no one has a clue what it is...scratchchin

I like the nostrils, gives it a nice angry look at the front. Although that black car looks ace. The Vauxhall badges are looking a bit tatty, so I'm considering getting some holden ones so no one knows what it is, and then remove the monaro badge. I'll be leaving the V8 badges on though..biggrin

I assume the best place to buy would be ebay? Or are the any better alternatives? Cheers thumbup
