Looking back over past threads (you should try it sometime, jump to a random page and read about our misguided youth) and I spotted some of my early threads on the black 2004 VXR shell that I purchased.

It was Winter 2013 when Brett posted its pitiful remains on eBay. No engine, gearbox, exhaust or wheels. Kitted out with CV8 seats, bumpers and rear lights. A Cat-D with the worst respray since I used some rattle cans on my sister's Mini Clubman.

I've hatched various plans for it over the past couple of years. It was going to be a dragster for my son, until Santa Pod change the rules. Then I thought I'd supercharge it's non-existent engine.

Over time, I've sourced the original alloys (and refurbished them), a 2005 VXR interior, bumpers, stainless exhaust system and recon gearbox. I even have a spare engine or two that would drop into it, along with some AP brakes.

Motivation is the only issue now. It'll never be worth what I put into it to get it running, but I'm loathed to sell up.

Words of wisdom anyone?

PS Not you Gary wink

Just fitted a full VXR interior to it and 'derusted' the battery tray. Think I'll underseal the bits I can see / get to easily while the exhaust, prop, side skirts, bumpers and gearbox are off. Then I'll fit what I can from the spares mountain in my garage and have it sent to Roger to turn it into a working car again. Tempted to drop in the 6.8 stroker, just to stop it gathering dust.

Against my better judgement, but since when did I listen to that.
