I dropped my Monaro off at the fish yesterday for a clutch with the usual bits to go with it.
Now, if the gear box is OK I will replace the suspension, with either pedders low, or xa coilovers ,but with a softer rear spring.
Has anyone had this done?

I will be changing the shocks as well,I might go full coil over with a softer rear spring. I don't want a car that scrapes the underside or crashes over bumps ect.
I think the ride height should be set at just below a VXR, possibly with a nice rake to it.

I've had Monaros with both and can say that with the coilovers, the car handles brilliantly but you will suffer with the ride quality - the adjustable height is a bonus; just remember to have the threads treated with copper slip etc to prevent them from seizing up. I prefer the pedders shocks and springs personally, but my car is a daily driver over bumpy roads.
I take it you went for the pedders low set up. I have thought about that but was a bit worried about speed bumps.
My car is a daily driver, so i need to get it right!

I've got Pedders low on the back and super low on the front, gives it a nice rake. There's photos of the car on my old thread "my cv8" if you want to see how it looks. You have to be careful on speed humps but it doesn't scrape at all at a reasonable speed (i.e. the speed you're supposed to go over speed humps) as I assume you're not a spotty teenager who likes to race around industrial sites and quiet back roads!!
Well,I wish I was a teenager......spotty or otherwise..
sadly I turned 55 a couple of weeks ago.....oh dear, where does the time go?
Thanks, I will check the photo out.
