VXR8 passenger door actuator

My passenger door actuator is a bit iffy, it does not always reliably unlock the door.

Its been suggested that is a common problem and hence there are few (i.e none maybe) second hand ones and the new part was about £135 IIRC.

I assume that it or assoicated mechanism gets dirty and harder to operate. has anyone sucessfully repaired these?

I will follow your guide and add lubrication.

I have a reluctance to remove trim and I have generally found it hard to replace well.
