Ive been looking into this as well but all the prices I have seen have been the same, also Ive yet to find someone to supply a purpose made subframe to mount them on and I dont like the idea of a DIY seat frame in a 20k car!
[/quote]

larkspeed are quoting about 695 with carbon fibre backs +extras

were have you tryed for the mounting frame ???

What sort of weight saving are you expecting? Only reason I would change the seats would be for weight as the standard ones are fantastic smile

What about all the electrical stuff in the seats?
that half the problem ..weight ..the motor is so slow its not worth having in the fist place ...IMO

would be good to get 70kgs of weight out of the car ...

you know what its like if you have a passenger all the time then go out for a drive on your own the car feels quicker .......weight ...not good

Mark, I'm after the same seats now, how'd you get on with Cobra and the subframe?

I've found a couple of US GTOs that have the Misanos in, and a subframe for each side made by a US company called Planted Technology which is what I believe they used to mount them. They appear to fit in very nicely, and I think Cobra may even do a custom logo on it, just trying to find out about that (Monaro text perhaps...)

When I saw the carbon backs, I had a suspicion that you'd already have looked into this wink
At the time I could not find anywhere that could do the mounts
But would still like to do this smile

I've spoken to Carnoisseur as they seem to have the lowest price on the 'Lux' (CF backed) version, currently an eye watering £810 each.

They don't think they get any discount on multiple orders, but will check. Also, we can have Monaro stitched in to the headrest instead of Cobra, the proper logo may be a bit tough due to copyright issues, but I've e-mailed Holden brand enquiries just in case wink

I think they can stitch in pretty much anything, so if you want 007 on your headrest, you can do thumbup just obviously not the actual bond trademark logo wink

EDIT:

From my searchings, as you suggested earlier they do appear to weigh just 13kg, so a lot lighter than the stock sofabeds, and from the install pictures I found, you appear to sit a lot lower, which would be nice.
