So, what's that unholy Alex upto this year with his Sag...
Discussion
Well, its 2014 which means a new year and new Sagaris project work.
I got out the Unholy Grimoire of Ideas over the Xmas period and started thumbing through the pages
of peeled human skin to select a few projects which I thought would be good to look at this year.
The ones that started glowing on their appropriate pages were the following...
Yes, so now all you TVR purists can flee screaming in fear or start foaming at the mouth like the possessed.
Mhahahahaha!!!
I AM CHANGING THE CAR AGAIN AND I DON"T CARE!!! :Mhahaha!!!: :lightning: :thunder:
:Cough: :Cough:
Normal service is now resumed

The ones that started glowing on their appropriate pages were the following...
- New wing mirror design or modifying the existing ones to be slimmer with power fold and courtesy light functions
- Comfort indicators
- More discrete auto head lamp control with wiper integration
- Surround vision collision cameras with LCD output (similar to Mercs)
- Integration of wing mirror powerfold and/or courtesy lights into alarm (alarm off, side lights and courtesy lights come on)
- Two very large projects which I'll not mention until they really get off the ground
- New interior lighting dome and sun visor design
Yes, so now all you TVR purists can flee screaming in fear or start foaming at the mouth like the possessed.

True, but I limit myself to 2 major items per project car, per two years as I usually need to run them in the next year.
The Sag has had its quota for major items for 2014. It will mostly be running in projects from last year and finishing
loose ends from 2013 off.
New major projects will be added in 2015 for the Sag, once another restoration project car is done.

I bought mine while I was on a trip to the States, but you can get them anywhere. It is a Gentex, just choose the model you want - they do a fair few. I also bought a universal holder, but in the end it needed a custom converter to be made. I put pictures of the custom converter and the fitting in a thread somewhere last year.
Cheers.
Cheers.

I think you mean that you've yet to convince one to change their product.
I tried, but they were not convinced it was worth their while to produce, which I sort of agree with actually.mk1fan said:
I'd be interested in the comfort turn, the kit in my VWs seems to just be a relay spliced in at the same point the hazard switch takes it's feed(s).
I bought an AF control module which just plugins into the indicator system and does it all.mk1fan said:
On an unrelated note. Where did you get your rear view mirror?
If you can't find the thread I mentioned previously, let me know and I'll send you the pictures.mk1fan said:
Plenty of swaps over on the S forum.
I personally like the mk2 TT with integrated indicators which would allow the ugly wing repeater to be removed.
Not noticed a mirror swap on a 'T-car' though.
Thanks. I think the mk2 TT in CF would look good as well.I personally like the mk2 TT with integrated indicators which would allow the ugly wing repeater to be removed.

Taken care of the wing repeater already, just not "live" yet than change, although a
few folks know what it was.
Yes, not bad
Might get a few of them and compare them.
They will be made up from CF when done for real, so might remodel it slightly anyway.
Not really sure why the Sag ones are mounted on that 2 bar pedestal. Just been comparing
the Sag to the Tuscan mk1/mk2 at Bespoke and it looks so much better without the extra mount.

Interesting. Thanks, Dave.
I know of one Sagaris that cut the bar size down and didn't seem to have any visibility issues. Something to look at when I do the
work on this one I guess.
I wonder if they employed a Hobbit to sit in the car when they tested it...

Alex, the single biggest improvement you could make, would of course, be.... a CUP HOLDER
Mini-bar, ejector seat, laser cannon, rocket booster & cloaking device
Not necessarily in that order
Hi Warwick,Mini-bar, ejector seat, laser cannon, rocket booster & cloaking device
Not necessarily in that order
I'm already working with Hiran on some of those.
Can't say anymore as it is all hush, hush...
Cup-holder is pretty much irrelevant as I do not drink when I drive
Ditto for the mini-bar.
I am working on making the interior dimensional transidental, but that requires me to get
hold of technology that can only be supplied by some friends I have on TXC-10122, spacial coordinates,
223-2234/CX1, so will take a 100 years or so for them to deliver to me.
Cheers!
Here's a little idea that has just been done which I think nicely tidies up the underside of the dash.
Essentially, the dash under the steering wheel is a mess of wires, control boxes and other "gubbins"
(that's a technical term), that sometimes has a habit of dropping out or falling down, so I worked with
Brendan at CP and Dave (DTT) to implement this little cover idea which effectively "seals" it all in.
The result looks quite nice...
Nothing major, but a useful little item to stop control boxes falling out and tidy up the underside.
...And yes, I cannot drive the car at the moment because it is still in various bits as issues are sorted out...
