CG Lock?

Thinking of getting one for track days. Had a quick search, and feedback seems to be good - but I seem to remember issues in fitting them to TVRs.

Are they to be recommended?

I got fed up with bracing myself on track with my leg against either the door or the transmission tunnel, so got myself some race seats and 4-point harnesses.
Tried both together, presently using the harnesses with the standard TVR seats. Good compromise for comfort in transit to the track and being held in place on track.
If you are doing Cadwell and are less than a 36 inch waist you are welcome to borrow a race seat, but it may require a couple of holes drilling in the car floor.
I am on the way to the track from everywhere to the south and west.

Thanks QBee but drilling holes in car floors is something that I try to avoid! :-)

I've got a few of these and been using them for about 5 years - 2 in each Griff and one in the VW.
You have to fit them the other way around in the TVR but easy to fit and really help with the sliding around. Also have one in the Passat.
Good product and fairly cheap.

OK, looks like that will be ordered prior to Cadwell then. I assume that 'the other way round' will be apparent when I try to fit it?

Cheers Leef. I thought that the two interiors were identical, so probably no good to me. I will check on the TVROC site.

OK; so two T350s, the CG-lock works in one but not the other. Good old TVR being consistent in its inconsistency maybe?

Still looking for an answer from the TCRCC - no luck so far though.

Has anyone that used one had to cut the plastic on the bit with the metal tongue? Apparently I have a 'double pass tongue', for which you can fit the lock the other way round, but the extra plastic bar is raised on my Tamora and may need cutting.
