My 2nd Tamora... TVR Central Restoration
Discussion
I haven't posted on here for some time! I did a readers car thread about my first tamora I had a few years back when I was at Uni. The first one a Gen 1 red rose Tamora I bought from Tony Gilbert and enjoyed for nearly 1 years use... which for people that know me is along time for me to keep a car. Anyway onto the second one I have now which I bought late one Sunday evening as it came up quite local I have enjoyed driving it for a few months and have decided I want to get it looking better than factory fresh!
It is a 2003 facelift Tamora this time, with only 23k on the clock. Its finished in Imperial Blue and the chap I bought it off had owned it for 10 years and taken into to Le man a few times but needed to sell as was emigrating to Australia.
The car is with Adrian at Central TVR in Stourbridge and is having the works done I am very excited to get it back in a few weeks. Jobs being completed include
Full Front end repaint
Full body detail/mop
Front light inners painted Black
Engine rocker cover powdercoated
Fully recarpeted
New Mats
New leather gaitors
Wheels refurbed in Shadow Chrome
New Toyo Tyres all round
Interior retrim seats and centre console
Seat belt covers retrimmed
Hood cleaned and new screen fitted
Brakes seen too
MOT
Full Service
Values seem to be going well on these so I may be tempted to keep it or I may enjoy it a few more months and sell. Mechanically the car is very strong! I have sold my Westfield to give this the Garage when it comes back to keep it perfect! Will update with pics as Adrian sends them through to me.
My old Tamora:

Front end being prepared for repaint
New mats first new part to be made up!

Done a fair few miles over last couple of weeks out most evenings for hoons, so happy with the car. The new springs and geometry set up along with new tyres has just transformed it. Car kept up well with my friends 300bhp Type R supercharged Exige. Also been using it most days for work its just so useable, Few more pics:

Looks fantastic! Where in the Midlands are you? Just bought a tam myself and there seems be the vast majority of the ines left in the Midlands! Be more than happy to do a little photo shoot for you at some point
I am in Nuneaton, sounds good, I have only used my iPhone for these pics, whereabouts are you?Rib said:
I'm just down the A5 in Lichfield. You will have to come down to the bullz head one month too for the West mids TVRCC meet.
I used to go the meet at the Bull head in Meriden when I had my last Tamora. Will try and pop along. The exile is rapid and on the straights can pull away but I was shocked at how well the Tiv was in the corners now its set up rightly on new tyres. The Tamora feels quick but its hard to judge now I have had so many quick cars nothing feels rapid to me anymore! My first Tamora felt very quick but I was 20 odd at the time and it was a Red Rose car quite a jump from an Audi TT then.
