sent the tam to Dave the trimmer for the final instalment of the trim. (the dash sections) he has already done the doors/seats etc which i fitted at home
but needed the car for a few days to do the dash as the screen needs to be removed/replaced.
its only been a few days......i keep going into the garage for no good reason.....resorted to tiling the laundry room floor at the weekend...think i need a "fix"

Got mine back now, though, and heading back to the garage in a min to continue with polishing the Tam with my new DA polisher I bought for her - used it on the wife's car first though, just to practice....

are they easy to use?
the front of the tam has a number of stone chips, so will get a fettle sometime, so its a perfect opportunity for me to try one of those things and get used to it on paint thats going to be replaced .
just got a few pics from DTT, the screen was bonded in with "excess" mastic, and was also a tad too low, which meant that the mastic was covering bits of the paintwork it shouldn't. makes sense as there was always a small gap near the front of the roof where the rubber didnt seem long enough. only 3/4 mm but now i know why
the dash and pod leather is being replaced. the mis match is because I've used a friends pod (actually his pod, seats, door panels etc) in my car whilst Dave has been doing some of the work on the items when he can, so I've been able to usin the car
after removing this seemed a better idea to properly refinish with a paint around the scuttle top. I'm not unhappy as this area didnt have the best paint finish in the first place.

Daves painter also refinished the troublesome screen riveted panels
still a bit undecided to leave the carpets or replace them......nothing really wrong, but black would be better I think

yes, i spoke with rick about what i wanted, and it became immediately apparent he knew what he was doing with the disassembly ...for example removing the wipers on a tam results in the fuse board falling off onto the steering column.
he did the seat backs above too so i was happy to let him carry on with the screen
