Can anyone post a close up photo of the 6 wires and their relative positions on the white plastic connection to the fuel tank in the boot of the Tamora? I've been having fueling issues caused by this plug shorting out. It was repaired by a local TVR garage by doing away with the plug connector on the loom and just having individual wires but I suspect the wires may have been mixed up as i'm having the same issues again.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Davie

The symptoms started initially after I parked the car up for a week and went back to it (see my previous post for the details). The car would prime the fuel pump and start but immediately die unless given plenty of throttle. It would not idle or pull cleanly from lower revs. The fault was eventually traced to a short in the white plastic connector to the fuel tank in the boot. The plastic connector was dispensed with and the 6 wires wired up individually to the remaining connection ontop of the tank inspection cap. The car ran fine for a couple of months after this modification but very similar symptoms have reappeared.

I have searched the forums and came across a blurry photo of the fuel pump/tank connection that TheHotHead posted in 2010 but the wires appear to be wired differently to mine so I'm thinking (hoping) that this may be the problem. I have changed the fuel relay, checked ignition, swapped injector wiring from bank to bank, etc but makes no difference. The latest symptoms appeared after filling up at a petrol station and restarting (correct fuel - I checked!!)

The car is not due a service and has ran well since Dom rebuilt it 5 years ago. Throttle response has always been spot on even from very low revs.

I'm looking for a photo which clearly shows where the 6 wires are positioned in relation to the 6 pins on the fuel tank connection. I don't have access to diagnostic software and TVR garages are not 'local' so trying to sort out the basics before i have to bite the (expensive) bullet of transporting it to an expert to diagnose.
Can anybody take a photo of their connection for me?
Thanks
Davie

Thanks for the replies guys. PeteA a photo of your wiring would be much appreciated to compare to what i have at the moment. As i say, from the only photo i can find mines looks to be wired differently. SteveSPG i haven't lifted the inspection hatch yet but I think i will have to do that and check the wiring on the inside of the connection to rule that out. Frustrating as the car has been an almost daily driver since i bought it 7 years ago and I'm missing the grin factor!

Thanks very much for that, unfortunately it looks like my problem lies elsewhere as your wiring looks to be the same as mine. My car is also an early 2002 model. Next step is to check the wiring inside the tank.
Thanks again for taking the time to post the photos.
