Rev limit

Where do other owners set rev limit and does it depend on engine 3.6,4.0,4.3,4.5,5.0,FFF?

Sorry that's what I meant, green amber red light settings, thought the 3.6 revved well to near 8k.

My red light comes on at 7200.

Depending on what text you choose to believe. Max power is done at 7000 and the standard internals aren't happy at higher revs. Lots of time above 7000rpm can lead to failure of con rods etc....

I have the lights set at 6000, 6500 and 7000.

Hard rev limit is 7800 it spits flames then, apparently

Owned for 9 yrs 30k and guess what?? No rebuild
