So I started the car up yesterday and noticed the brake lights are now permanently on. I've searched the forums here but can't find a previous post on this. Has anyone had this before?

I presume it could be a short somewhere, but I'm no electrics expert. Presume it's not a fuse as the lights wouldn't work. Any ideas would be most welcome!

Great thanks of the advice, I'll have a look for the brake switch when back after the weekend...

Just wanted to update this post with the following link to a previous post:
http://www.pistonheads.com/GASSING/topic.asp?h=0&a...

This helped me a lot and details exactly how to fix the brake light microswitch problem (brake lights permanently on).

Might be useful for someone in the future! smile

True! It was the actuating arm that failed on mine (common issue I think) where the black roller had broken off. Replaced it for £1.32 smile
