Asked this question in my post about Newhaven to Dieppe route but guess it applies to all. Generally what do people do on any ferry, lock and risk alarm going off and flattening the battery? Or just leave it unlocked with no valuables left in the car?

I have tried holding the alarm fob for longer and I get the 3 flashes but it doesn't lock the doors then....

Thanks guys, was on the ferry last night, I did as shep advised, but on mine the external lock button locks the passenger door and the boot but the drivers side remains unlocked. All went well both with clearance and everything was still there when we got back!

Was aware of what the manual said about the alarm and disabling the motion sensor. However on my t350t it flashes 3 times but doesn t lock any doors! So in the situation where it can t be driven off (ie ferry) you might as well not alarm the car!
