P*rsch* discussion-blasphemy???

Sooo, I'm considering a 911 as an every day car for me & mrs B. Obviously keeping my (Far superior) Tamora.
Has anyone else done this? what to look out for / avoid? I have a budget of 25k ish. and the 997 falls into this (I don't really like the look of the 996 and can no longer run to a 993(My 1st choice)

thanks for the responses; certainly food for thought. I had heard some anecdotal stories but i thoughtthat was the 996 (!)
when did the 997 mk 2 start-what year?
I'm only considering a manual- its a control thing I think!
