Still considering engine options for a project, ranging from rebuilding the speed six as a 3.6/7 to an LS conversion.

Then I stumbled across the idea of a V10 from an E60 M5. OK its a BMW but it's NA, 8000 rpm red line, manual and 500bhp.

Would it physically fit in a T car?

I *think* the standalone issue is solved with this now:

What I'm not so sure of is if you can hook up a manual gearbox to a SMG engine?

I read somewhere that the USA M5 manual had a 640/645 manual box.

Will the V10 physically fit in a T car?

My guess is that given they made the ECU they should be able to advise on the outputs, and as long as you have an open spec for them then anything is possible - in theory it turns into a similar issue that you have with an LS conversion.

I'd do as much as possible myself but my level of engineering and fabrication skills would not satisfy me fully so likely would be in a friends barn then draft someone in to assist with the engine mounts etc.

The electrics don't worry me as much as the fitment and the gearbox issues. I'll do some investigating on the BMW forums, someones bound to have tried to convert an SMG to manual somewhere.

Incidentally, not that it should make much difference but it will go into a Tamora, which hopefully will then be a turned into a Sagaris.

Ideally I'm going to be putting a new Sagaris chassis under it all. All depends on the donor car really.
