Hi all,

I was at the Chis Neals last friday for a bodywork inspection (after someone reversed into me in a car park)

They took it away for inspection and came back later to say if I had noticed the computer not starting (no display)

I've had it several times but it hasn't been a hassle, switch off and on again sometimes clears it. Thought it was a typical computer thing (I work in IT!)

They said it needs a upgrade but the computer will need a week to go back to Blackpool.

It says I have got Tamora V6.0.

Anybody else had the same? What's the latest version?

There was a post saying that the dealers can now upgrade.

Mine does it all the time, but as you say switching off and on seems to fix it. It did go back to Blackpool a few weeks ago whilst the car was being serviced, but came back exactly the same. The guys at the dealers asked if I wanted it sent back again but I'd rather be driving the car than waiting for Blackpool's wheels to slowly turn.

What version did you get back?

Hi Paul, my Tamora's been doing this for nearly 2 years since I first had it! As you say it's not much hassle but it would be nice to have it sorted.

My car's been back to the factory a couple of times (no engine problems) and they've looked at the ECU problem but not fixed it. They call it a "known bug"!

Each time I've been told that the ECU software has been upgraded to the latest level but it still shows as V5.8!

I'd be interested to know if they have a fix now? Could you let me know please?

Cheers.... Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Don't know. Although it's the first thread I've seen regarding this problem.... strange.

Surprised though you have V5.8 as I though V6 cured stuff like the odo problem.

Still waiting for the quote for repair then it will go in.

C. Neils said the previous owner got the computer start problem as well.

What about you guys with new(er) cars?

I'm going to get them to look at the oil pressure as well. It's fine cold, 37 psi @ 2000rpm, but reads 27 when hot and I keep getting warning code 3 (oil presssure) above 5500 rpm when hot. They think that it's a sensor error.

I'll let you know when it goes in...

Paul
