Given the option can you boffins tell me what you think would be the best long term option for residual value.I think I have decided to go for the DB9 Volante over the V8V roadster despite some people trying to persuade me otherwise.
I would probably keep the car for 2 or 3 years and do around 4k per annum.
The two cars I am considering are a 56 plate 17k miles 1 Owner FAMSH private or 2007 39k miles 1 yrs warranty with an Aston Martin dealer. Both the same price around £50k give or take a couple hundred pounds. Both similar spec, condition and same colour.Dealer car does have the red calipers which sadly do it for me!!!
You wise and intelligent advice is welcomed with open arms again.

As an update I sold my 2008 DB9 Volante for £51k to a private buyer...that meant in 17 months of ownership it has cost me £2800.
I thought I would be able to keep away from Astons but after 7 weeks of being without one have now decided to look for a 4.7 V8V Roadster sportshift.
Would love an N420 if one dropped on my lap at the right price.
Will probably wait until Nov/Dec to achieve a price that will hold up during ownership unless I find a desperate dealer in the meantime.
ps As a dateline for my previous post I purchased the 56 plate...loved it and then bought the 2008 car to benefit from the upgrades hence why I am looking at the 2009 year model vehicles.
Cheap Aston ownership can be done if you buy right in the first case.
