I've been on top of the world over the last week after my new MY05 DB9 was delivered last Thursday.

I took some grainy shots last night on my phone which are below. Enjoy:

Thanks for the welcome all. It's titanium silver, the filter I applied to the photo (Can't recall what button I pressed but it made it look cool) probably made it look different.

Bit of background: I'm 26 with 0 NCB (in the UK as I recently moved back home to London from a 2.5 year stint in Sydney) and insure it with Lockton's AMOC policy which was remarkably (!!) well priced, almost half the premium of any of the standard Admiral, Elephant etc and of course with far better cover. Locktons were the only company to consider my 2 years NCB in Australia (whilst driving a 5.7 Commodore SS [No UK equal] and 6.2 HSV Clubsport R8 [Vauxhall VXR8]) so that obviously really helped the price.

As you can see, I've already got Tony's knobs in there wink which have really lifted the interior versus the old grey plastic pieces especially against the piano black.

Few things on the list to do:

IPod connection kit from Nickolas Mee
Some private "V12" prefix plate - perhaps to hide it's age a little - it looks brand new.
Perhaps an AM dealer fitted Fuse 22 switch in the dash.

The plate above is only for cars of 2012 reg or above, as an alternative....

This plate is £405 inc vat and transfer direct from dvla-som.co.uk

That's the one I was looking at - thanks for that.

Either that or my school nickname "Floyd" would be "V12 FYD" biggrin

Thanks for the welcomes - looking forward to contributing to the place and perhaps seeing some of you around at any meets etc.

To all the clear light lovers, I'm afraid they're not my cup of tea - I've always preferred the classic DB9 look with the coloured lights so I intend to keep mine as they are smile

A vote here for clears, but no worries as the reds look great anyway.

Seeing as you'e got a manual, you're obviously a real driver. Put the £1200 you save on the lights towards a Sports Pack set up wink
I've already put a lot of thought into the sports pack - best part of £7000 dealer retro fit right? I am quite open to doing something, maybe in a year or so - Can you get the sports pack without those lightweight 5 double-spoke alloys? I like my car how it is, and particularly don't like those sport pack alloys.
