noticed some slight cracks on the front tyres on the vantage, now after hearing horror stories about long drives and hot roads im panicing a little and thinking I might get them replaced before the 1300mile drive to LeMans and back in a couple of weeks time.

I heard something about the original tyres having to be swapped on vantages under warrenty for certain codes? anyone know anything?

Im pretty sure the tyres are original which makes them 6 years old

paint work, tyres and service in one month is a lttle harsh on the old pocket, if i could have got away with delaying one of them i would have haha.

Oh well if needs must i better dig deep

I would say so, unfortunately the car is at home so im unable to take some pictures for opinions, cracks down the centre of the treads and around the blocks, trying to find oficial litrature on the interbebz but failing.

Just spoke to Aston Customer services who confirmed what i thought, that the 140 point check only has stipulations relating to tread depth and not the ago of tyres

http://www.tyresafety.eu/doc/en/Bridgestone_Tyre_S...

also found this, stipulates bridgestone reccomend tyres over 10 years old are changed, doesnt actually mention cracking as being detrimental to tyre saftey
