After the recent JLC tour I realised that the V12V just had too much ...

Roof!

I had been watching the few V12VR adverts come and go and even went to see one at HR Owen earlier in the year but the spec and price didn't suit us. Tuesday was our Silver wedding anniversary and when I looked at the classified's the ex-works demonstrator V12VR that HWM had advertised in April had reappeared. I decided to give them a ring to enquire and they told me they had another that they weren't allowed to advertise which was new but pre-registered with 60 miles on the clock. As this one was silver I obviously decided that fate was taking a hand!

So we went down to Walton On Thames on Tuesday (spending almost our entire silver wedding anniversary car shopping - you can see why we lasted 25 years ...)and fell in love with the car, we picked it up today and have had a brilliant drive back up from London to Redditch via the Cotswolds. Stuart at HWM was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I'm now looking forward to getting a good nights sleep for the first time since Tuesday :-)

As photos are mandatory, here's the first one with my wife Barb about to have her first go in it.

The plate will be transferred back to HWM when the plate from the V12V is swapped onto it. We are taking it to Norway in 10 days or so on the Petrolheads Nirvana tour and then the AM PH Wales weekend in July and Spain in September so hopefully we will get the mileage up pretty quickly :-)

Thanks for the good wishes guys.

The car is number 18, tungsten silver with a black interior and white stitching (sorry Lewis).

It has B&O and black meshes, grille, tail pipe finisher and side strakes. Seats are sports seats rather than lightweights but they are heated. It came with a secondary glass key which presumably comes as a set with the black key as I now have two glass keys and 2 black keys! It has a reversing camera fitted which I am surprisingly impressed by, it pops up the sat nav screen and displays a very clear rear view overlaid with the lines the car will take for the current steering angle. Our Rangie takes almost as long to swap to the reversing display on its built in always visible screen.

Looking forward to seeing many of you in Wales.

What a fantastic anniversary present! Enjoy - didn't realise from the JLC tour that Barbera drove the car wink
Barb didn't like driving the V12V at all, I think I'm going to have to hide the keys of the roadster when I go to work :-).

Also looking forward to the weekend although based on last time, I haven't planned much on Sunday. I take it you've booked Barb to drive home biggrin
Hi Andy,

Really looking forward to the weekend, I've been staying off the pop a bit this week to give my liver a chance smile (and Barb is booked for the Sunday drive home laugh)

Just looked in your garage, I see why speeds may be a bit quicker in Spain!
