When BMW decided that they needed a new supercar to top their range, they did just what they are well known for doing – thought outside of the box. Sure, they could have made a slinky looking low supercar with the M6 engine, but they wanted to innovate so turned to the new i-Division. Step forward, the i8 – a full carbon fibre hybrid supercar with wild looks and incredible performance. Mating a 1.5 litre 3-cylinder turbo engine driving the rear wheels, to a pair of electric motors driving the fronts gives a total power output of 357 bhp and zero emissions around town.
