Brooklands. Supercar Day 19th July 2014
Discussion
Brooklands Supercar Day, is a fantastic event, I have visited the past two years and have had a most memorable day.

This is not just a static display of Supercars, but you actually get to drive your car on Mercedes Benz test track, below is my video from last year, showing how much of a great time we had.

If you are displaying your car, you get a couple of free passes for the event.
Phil the organiser of the event has been trying to get support from AMOC with little success, but if you would like to come along, he would be only to happy to hear from you.

Yes Phil, the event is still on.
I have dealt with Phil at GB Promotions over the last couple of years regarding this event, and he has always got back to me, he said he would love more Astons to attend.
In my original post, there is a link to the event, which includes a phone number, try giving him a call, if you don't get any response, let me know and I will get in touch with him.

It is a requirement of Mercedes-Benz World management that owners of track demonstration cars must present their driving licences at signing on. This will take place for drivers and passengers from 09.00 and drivers (only) also need to attend the track demonstration safety briefing at 11.00.
Minimum age for passengers on track is 16. No age restriction for Test Hill.
Supercar owners are also invited to take part in the 14.45pm Test Hill session and will need to attend the briefing at 14.00 where wristbands will be issued. While the Test Hill has a steep incline it can easily accommodate special cars (see pictures).
In addition to the supercar displays we also have car club and classic car displays in support of the event. These cars will be located on the Finishing Straight on the approach to the Banking. There will be an opportunity for some of these cars to take part in the Test Hill session.
All display and track demonstration cars will have exclusive entry via the Brooklands Road entrance.
Please note that complimentary ticket holders will be required to pay for passengers.

Thanks for the pics.
It looks quite poorly supported by attendance from those pics and I can admit the weather put me off attending early on. By the time it had brightened-up, it was too late to make the effort to attend.
Maybe Joe Public felt the same way.
Was the Mercedes Test Track in use?
I think you are correct, it seemed as though quite a few people arrived at lunch time, when the weather had brightened. It looks quite poorly supported by attendance from those pics and I can admit the weather put me off attending early on. The MB test track was used, with a group of nine Astons being lead by a Lamborghini Aventador , I think we got six laps in total, quite enough the get the brakes nice and hot.
For those that attended and those who missed out, here's a video of the track time at MB World test track.
