Thanks for the input so far - I'm not overly concerned with the depreciation just trying to educate myself as much as possible before making a decision. Does mid-90s seem like a fair value for such a vehicle at present?

Just sold one of those, having a lovely car is about more than worrying whether it will loose or make money. Buy it because you like it and want to enjoy it just don't waste money on one that is overpriced.
Yes that's my key concern - my ignorance about the cars in general that could lead to the wrong decision. Happy to spend the money but want it to be on the right one hence all the questions.

As a prospective owner you are right to be doing your homework, so don't feel awkward asking pertinent question nono

At 90k, the hit is going to be hard anyway over 3 years - I spent the same and my hit was £34k some 3.5 years later. In the meantime, I had a wonderful experience and met a lot of top people on this forum, many of whom I fully intend stalking for many years to come yes

Oh, and I became an alcoholic.

Indeed, the only reason I sold the DB9 was down to a disastrous financial decision I made but, hey, for better for worse...for richer for poorer etc biggrin
I guess you're right - one of those things. Scary thought though that a 90k dbs now with 9k more miles in 3 years could be worth 55k.
