Aston Martin - Welsh Weekender -27th/28th June

What do you want out of a great summer weekend?

You want to spend it with your beloved (beloved Aston Martin - obviously)

(Maybe) You want to spend it with your other beloved (got to keep the mrs sweet - obviously)

You want to escape the cities, the motorways, the office, the hassle - OBVIOUSLY!

You want to stay in a nice hotel (not too pretentious but one where they do have respect for your car and have a decent car park)

You want some good food (keep it simple - say, 3 courses with 3 choices per course & a proper breakfast before your drive next day)

You want good company (people who are on your wavelength - the sort of people who get on Pistonheads & talk Aston Martins)

You want great scenery - the sort of scenery that brings out the best in your Aston and makes a great backdrop for the photos

& you want to drive - with a whole bunch of Aston Martins in an unforgettable location on an unmissable weekend!

Well in that case you will want to be with us for the weekend of 28th June!!

Arrive on the afternoon/evening of Friday 27th June, meet the gang, have dinner and settle in for a good night's sleep ready to exercise your Aston on Saturday. Spend Saturday having fun. enjoying your Aston as it's maker intended - not just as a means of getting from A to B but letting it live and breathe in the wholesome Welsh air! Spend Saturday evening like Friday but with new friends and with tales to tell and legs to pull! See you Sunday at breakfast and when we wake the neighbourhood with the sound of Astons before departing for home with grins on our faces.

I feel we should explain to anyone looking in on this thread how come a Porsche driver gets to join an Aston event.

Well Andy & Jo are veterans of the same two Petrolhead Nirvana Alpine Tours as robgt & I so we've had plenty of time to bond! Last summer we invited them on the Welsh Weekender and it seemed to go really well although a certain Cockney type did show signs of aggression towards poor Andy





It has to be said that the GT3RS does add some colour to any event (or some might even see it as target practise )

The Cockernee one is currently Aston-less and I think many of his/our mates are going to be at Goodwood on the weekend of 28th June sooo…… plenty of places for new Aston faces left on this event Email me for details

Hi Phil

Its all about enjoying driving your Aston, as you do, but with a whole bunch of people doing the exact same thing! Saturday will be spent touring the area. There will be a pre-planned route with stops for fuel/coffee/toilet/lunch and those stops will have full details on the plan so if you, for any reason, loose the group, just set your satnav for the next group stop. There will therefore be no pressure to drive fast. Some people, however, seem to quite enjoy playing 'chase the Aston'

So - just 2 slots left and 1 of those is down to KiwiSG if he can get his booking made. The other 1 is with AdamV8V who is only just back in Aston ownership and said he would like to come.

I'll give you a couple of days guys but if anyone wants to put their name down as reserve I will let you have booking details as soon as we know if there is a free slot
