I've looked in the drivers foot well and can only find one port which is next to the footwell light. I have tried plugging the reader into this but it will not communicate so I assume it is the "body" port.

I've looked all over the place but I cannot find another. Can somebody give me a clue where else to look?

Ahhhh.....comparing that photo I took earlier with the circuit diagrams I notice a couple of yellow wires. Only the power train OBD port has yellow wires, according to the schematics, so it would appear that my reader isn't compatible. I'll try a different one tomorrow.

Just to put a lid on this thread, the single OBD2 port I found next to the drivers footwell light was, in fact, the power train port. I used my Clarke reader (quite a good tool), which is CANBUS compatible, and Bobs your uncle. I've chucked the cheap android thing in the bin.

Happy to report that there are no faults logged and everything is tickety boo smile
