Hi all,

Not going to bore you all but thanks must go to the supporting act that made my effort of shoving a few nice cars in a posh field come to life.

My family as ever were exceptional and my friends worked tirelessly to make the plan come together, the supporting act of companies in attendance
was fantastic and considering I had The Silverstone Classic to contend with on the same weekend I think the figure of 249 cars on the field was an amazing result.

I know I've banged on about it for a long time and irritated a few on here who don't appreciate my efforts but I think from all those that attended it has been a worthwhile
contribution to the forum in general, enough said we move on………..smile

Currently the figure raised for charity by the Burghley Event now stands at £8919.45 net.

I shall leave the link open http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/astonmartin until the weekend in case we can manage to crack the 9k barrier.

Thanks for the support as it was lovely to see so many people enjoying there cars and the company of others.

Well done you made the Event.

Ed,

You, your family and friends did a truly first class job at Burghley. Until someone attempts to organise something of this magnitude it is very difficult to understand just how much work and time goes into it. Also to raise in excess of Ten thousand Pounds for such worthwhile causes is truly great.

I trust that you are already in the early stages of planning a repeat event for next year?

Molly and I are looking forward to it already smile

Rob
Thank you Rob,

Coming from some one who prefers driving events rather than static days that is a great compliment.

I hope you and the tame bear enjoyed eating the mass picnic Eleanor had put together to feed the refugee's from the George……….lol.

It was a great privilege to be able to put on something that brought so much enjoyment to those present and as I said long ago I don't mind spending my time doing these events
and outings for the forum in general if they are going to be received in the manner they are meant.

There are no strings attached and I'm not trying to change the face of the forum as those that know me well will testify, it just my good hearted and generous nature coming through.

It would be great to replicate such days and to that effect Burghley have already asked if we'd like to return next year.

Its food for thought and is up for debate but in my mind a different location might be even more enticing to the forum.

We can go back to Burghley if people want it no bother,I think the George was a hit and who says we can't fill the whole joint and car park with Aston's another time.

I'm open to suggestion but if people are happy to support such events I'm sure I can make them happen.

I'm pleased you enjoyed your weekend Rob……..thumbup and as you can see we can even lay on wandering herds of cows to stay in keeping.
