Hi guys

Was out driving my DB9 today and noticed a tiny stone chip has caused a 3-4mm horizontal crack bang in the in the middle of the windshield just above the waterfall. I'm with Admiral so they cover it for £25 but has to be done by Autoglass.

I've read a few fellow members have used them in the past without any issues for both repairs or entire screen replacement. Just wondering if the general consensus of entrusting Autoglass for crack/chip repair on your Aston still stands?

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I just had it done by autoglass about an hour ago - took them about 30 minutes to fix it. The small crack/chip that was clearly visible from a distance is now pretty much unnoticeable. You could clearly see a small crack when the sun was shining right onto it from outside and inside the car. Now it looks more like a small dirty spot or tiny chip. You can still see it if you know where it is and go up-close but its much less noticeable than before, so will keep an eye on it over the next few days.

They did however mention that you are allowed (if you have good reason) to get it replaced as long as you pay the excess which is £75 with Admiral. Considering this won't affect your NCB, they would order the parts and getting this fitted with the dealer is probably around £1.2 ... I think Autoglass wasn't actually that bad an option.
