Driving in France

We are planning a few days in the Loire Valley later next week, I have got the Hi Vis jackets, breathalyser kits etc.
The question I have is do I need to worry about the headlights, we do not plan to drive at night, but will the French Bobbies take a dim view (excuse the poor pun )

Thanks for all the advice, only got flashed once ( on the toll ) but as previous comments,get off the main drag and the driving is wondrous.
