As it says :The 2016 Aston Martin Lagonda uber-sedan is not for you, unless you happen to be filthy rich and living in the Middle East, so the fact that partner Oman Air blew the cover of the car is fairly immaterial.

What's the Lagonda doing in Oman, specifically? Aston Martin flew the sedan to the country for hot-weather testing, essential for a car likely to only be seen in desert countries. The Lagonda will only be available to purchase by individuals who receive an invitation from Aston Martin.

Does the Lagonda live up to the hype? At this early hour, the jury is hung. One editor quipped it "looks like an Acura show car," which is probably more of a compliment to stylistically-embattled Acura than it is a put down to Aston. Another felt that it abandoned the classically beautiful styling language of the rest of the line and went down a dangerous road marked "Kia K900." To its credit, though, its crisp lines and unparalleled exclusivity are probably enough to secure it a place in the garages of a few oil barons.

We're in danger of repeating things already said in other threads hear but... the journos' are getting confused (there's a surprise) biggrin) i) This is distinctly a Lagonda not an Aston Martin ii) it reflects the spirit of William Towns wedge shaped Lagonda of the 80s with just enough of a hint of Aston Martin in the styling cues e.g. the side strakes. I think it moves the Lagonda mark on into the 21stC very well indeed but I wouldn't expect your average auto hack to understand that - they only seem to want James Bond cars from AML.
I should have made it clear that was a quote and not necessarily my own opinion - just sayin'
