Relay or solenoid noise

Folks, is there a relay or solenoid at the n/s rear wheel somewhere within the wheel arch. Every 2-3 minutes there is a clicking noise (could be ABS??). This is then followed by fan kicking in within the engine pay for 5-10 seconds.

Any clues or anyone have an electrical schematic?

Sorry, should have said this happens with engine off & car either locked or unlocked - is there an aircon solenoid in the rear arch?

Thought if it was near a wheel, might have been ABS?

Car is 2007 V8V 4.3L manual version

Not sure if this scenario is right in my case, as the car can sit for a day or more & still behave with clicking noises from nsr wheel, i.e. the car is effectively cold. I understand when the car has sat for a few months in storage there are gremlins in the electrics which reveal themselves!!
