Discussion
After some open and honest discussions (about cost) with Silverstone Track Day sales office, see below the best deal available. The latest March date available was the 10th, its a Tuesday:
I have spoken to our Legal Director and he is happy for us to provide the sign on service which includes a Coordinator for the briefing on the day within the £430 inc vat per head price for a guaranteed 35 cars.
We do need to guarantee a one off non-refundable total payment of £15,050.00 inc vat for the event to go ahead, to be paid in full by the end of November 2014.
Please note that all participants are driving on track at their own risk and will require to produce a full DVLA road licence and be over 18 years of age. All drivers will be required to sign a Silverstone Track Indemnity and have to submit their contact details to Silverstone so that we can send our Track Day Terms and conditions to them in advance for them to agree.
Maximum noise limit on the day is 102dB drive by. Track time – 09:00hrs to 17:00 hrs (subject to daylight hours and stoppages) – mandatory one hour break for lunch.
We do have a Media Café overlooking the track that can serve breakfast and lunch for your members to purchase – a fuel station is also on site.

430 per head?....so myself and junior....860?....bit steep if thats the case....
In my opinion; As long as we have 35 cars paid for, after that its a matter for the owner if he has a passenger co driver or not, as long as that co driver has the proper insurance cover and signs in as such. 430 per head?....so myself and junior....860?....bit steep if thats the case....

I'm getting the distinct impression we're lacking enthusiasm gentlemen.
Not that I'd bring the old classic to this, the last track day I did at Monza cost me a new set of tyres and the brakes servicing, it's the sort of thing for which I'd use the TVR. However from my perspective the lack of enthusiasm may be due to it only being the 'International' circuit. I know Silverstone big it up but it looks a bit boring without the complex and the (old) main straight. I have tried Donington but their 96db limit is too low. The cost of a noisy day in March would be in the region of £20,900.
March and September are the cheaper months and 6 months apart, helps balance budgets and we get two goes per year.
Mallory have a 98db limit,,,poo.
I'm talking to MSV about Bedford Autodrome 101db and Cadwell Park 105db. Cadwell is winning on db's and price.

Yes, please. Monday 30th March at Cadwell Park. Price will be £3700+VAT for exclusive hire and noise limit will be the same as Snetterton (105db static / 92 drive-by).
I am negotiating Bedford Autodrome, has a brilliant GT circuit but has a lower noise allowance, monitored directly by the local council, so probably quite strict.

30 cars round Cadwell at one time would be st. It's not wide enough, there's only limited places to overtake in a car.
Best circuit in the UK though.
What would be a workable number George?Best circuit in the UK though.

Realistically it depends on the pace of the people on it. I've been there on a track day with 30 bikes on track and it's a pain because you never really get clear laps in.
I'd say no more than 10-15 at any one time if you actually want to get some clear track time. Obviously no one is going to stay out there all day non stop so might be better selling more places and just limiting the number on track at once?
Thanks for that. In my/our limited experience, we have not yet seemed to experience a 'congestion' problem. I reckon we can safely accomodate 20 cars but lets wait and see. I have had a pm from someone on the forum that has a friend that is very familiar with cars at Cadwell and will be back from leave next Monday.I'd say no more than 10-15 at any one time if you actually want to get some clear track time.
