Cheers for the replys guys. I've spoken to Appleby's about the car who were extremely helpful with their info. I've spoken to the owner and it's had a deposit placed on it for the full asking price. So essentially it's sold baring any disasters. My hunt continues!

You guys think better to buy a standard car then that's not been modified?

BravoV8V I do agree that it's overpriced. But you do know DAE no longer own the car and it's now privately owned?

So taking all that into account and assuming it's now in good condition, what would you guys genuinely value it at? (And if it's had bodywork damage assuming it's not HPI recorded.) I know it's all subjective but if it is still available to buy I'm struggling to value it.

I've done that and he was very helpful. Filled me in on many details about the car and it's past. Just trying to gauge general opinion/value on the car as I'm really struggling with it. Can't decide if I'm better buying a standard car or not. The feedback I'm getting about this car is very mixed, which concerns me from a prospective purchase point.

I've been told it has a deposit on it but the chap has not yet come to view the car, only that he will pay full asking price on collection. It's supposed to be collected this week. So sold but not signed, sealed, delivered! Appleby's told be they put a brand new engine in it and virtually the entire car was 'recommisioned' when they carried out all the work on it. But the mileage and previous 'history' still concerns me at that price.

Pure chance I got talking to someone today about this car who filled me in on a little history. Apparently it's done over 155k miles and has been in at least 2 wallops in its life, front and rear. One which was the reason for its rebuild to its current state. And the second in the current owners very short ownership recently.
