Db9: does "Sport" do the same as removing Fuse 22?

Sorry if this is going over old ground. I've read several posts on the benefits of by-passing Fuse 22 to open the exhaust values on Astons. Does the "Sport" button on a DB9 do the same thing - in other words, why by-pass Fuse 22 if you've got the "Sport" button?

No, it just reduces the revs at which the valves open. From 4k down to 3k IIRC. If you bypass the valves they are open all the time.
