Long time lurker, first time poster etc. etc.....

Am off to see a Vantage tomorrow, very excited. I recall somewhere someone posted a list of 10 (?) things you should definitely quiz a dealer about re a used Aston. I thought I'd saved it somewhere but not turning up anywhere nor can I find it on a search. Does anyone recall this and feel like pointing me in the right direction?? Many thanks in advance.

And yes, I have "the" book!

Cheers,

TG

Jockman, thanks v much, great stuff and (mostly) exactly what I was after. My wife is coming with me so I'll have to be selective...

More great stuff Jockman, thanks. It's an Aston dealer, make any difference, or just a nicer smelling brand of moisturiser?

Thanks Jockman - beautiful car. Red trousers are highly unlikely to make an appearance. Wish me luck.

Afternoon gents...

Thanks for all your comments, and pleased my posting generated a bit of chat for you on a Friday afternoon...

So, I will be collecting a nice shiny new (used) Vantage in a couple of weeks smile I'd done a lot of research (the book, lurking on here) so knew pretty much what the non-negotiables for me were. It's an 07 model year Grigio Titanio with sports seats, premium audio, cruise control, heated seats etc and pretty low mileage. I won't name the dealer (in case they're reading) but was a very efficient and enjoyable experience, very nice guys. Spotted a few things like some bubbling round the handles which will be rectified and a few scuffs here and there. Didn't get a chip on price but got a couple of things thrown in, most importantly for me a 2 year warranty. I had a budget and the price worked - life's too short to really draw things out and try to play the game I reckon.

Overall, very very pleased. Next couple of weeks will go slowly I'm sure. Will put a couple of pics up when it arrives (I've lurked enough to know the rules!). Sure I'll have plenty more questions once I start driving it, looking forward to getting involved!

Cheers,

TG

Thanks gents, having slept on it for another night, even more pleased I pulled the trigger.

To be honest I forgot to ask for the umbrella but with the amount of sports kit I'm planning to cram into the boot not sure there would be room...
