As I have alluded to earlier, is there anything out there other than a plank to solve my issue? Karen has already broken 2 nails lifting the plank yes

It's a Conservation Area, guys. Mr Gould will be along shortly to verify.

I can't even cut the Monkey Puzzle tree above 5m.....no chance the Council will allow me to make alterations to the pavement nono

Vanquish Neil reversed his 02 car in without issue as he has rubber underneath his Splitter. He suggested drilling the plank to the floor confused

Seb, stop being so gallant you smoothie !!

TARMAC !!!!! Do I strike you as Oirish ????

I've tried a few angles with the plank down and the straight line seems to give me the most clearance, though the front PDC beepers go absolutely ballistic and I have to turn them off frown

You can see the top of the drive from this one....no issues until the wheels fall in to the trough between the main road and my cobbles frown

Behave yourself, Steve !!!

I suppose the next step is to try and drive in rather than reverse, with the plank down just in case. smile

.....and on the 7th day, God did not rest. He made KF and all was well.....

Exactly what I'm after, though I'm still going to attempt a full frontal entry to fully gauge the angle of the dangle yes

I have suggested that Karen clips her nails as suggested and I am now the proud owner of a black eye and a swollen lip weeping

can you reverse out??
That is >exactly< what I intend doing, mon ami, but I shall still utilise the plank on the first attempt, just in case.

I know the thickness of the blank and I know where the nadir is of the entire movement. A quick subtraction of one from t'other will give me my answer smile

What one needs to be careful of is the plank 'flipping' and damaging the underside frown

Surely that's just another reason to bolt it down?
Bolting down comes with its own issues, though matey.

Running foul of the authorities in a conservation area, affecting the flow of water to the drains and impacting on other cars pulling up across my drive en route to their parking position must all be taken in to consideration smile

Where the rear wheels are when your front almost touches can you not profile your driveway to lower the rear of the car thus raising the front - or are your wheels on the path?
Indeed, the rear wheels are on the crest of the entrance. Hence my intention to attempt a drive in rather than a drive out smile

As Martyn points out earlier, there is an option to modify this crest and reduce its peak at a cost of circa £1k.

Which brings us to another problem......I'm Scottish biggrin

Well Phil .....you did buy a house in the cheap road !!!!! smilesmile on a serious note I have the same problem, I can only get the DB9 out backwards and at an angle.....I would not be able to get a DBS out of my drive .......if the plank works then buy some tar macadam repair kit from B&Q and try to "graduate" from the kirb to the road (i won't tell Kay Crook who is chair of the Conservation Area)
I will biggrin
she is a formidable women........i remember recently having lunch with my wife and my X wife and she came over to me an exclaimed "Michael.... your a thoroughly modern man" and walked off.......

On a serious note Phil.....you do have a problem.......i'm grounding the 9 but it's only the bolts grinding and not the spoiler
Nick, you're a bell yes

Mr G, I'm trying to avoid Kay at the moment! I did mention that you would struggle on that drive.

Quinny.......sod off biggrin

Quick update.....tried reversing out - I imagine this is the same as driving in - and the beepers were going ballistic before I got halfway.

Back to the drawing board frown
