Hello chaps & chapesses,

Heading to Northern Spain at the end of April and hoping for route / road / lodgings recommendations.

Ferry arrives into Santander at 1730 on Saturday and departs at 8pm the following Saturday, so 6 days to fill.

Only "must do" is San Sebastian as wifey is a massive foodie, and thinking of doing that in the middle (Wed / Thurs) so any suggestions either side (Leon? Burgos? Legrono?) would be "mucho appreciado" (as they don't say in Spanish).

Thanks in advance.

Adam

Must do before you die (book now if you can get in)

Mugaritz www.mugaritz.com/en/

Arzak www.arzak.info/arz_web.php?idioma=En

Over the Pyrenees (through Andora maybe) :drive:

El Celler de Can Roca http://cellercanroca.com/menu/menu_a.html

Phew, think I want to do this journey, you can tell who likes his food lick
Thank you everybody for the great advice and recommendations.

Will, those restaurants look amazing and going to book the Landa, LBS thumbup

As per comment above re pregnant wife (hmmm...lightweight seats!), driving stints will need to be kept relatively short, so going to give Porto and maybe even the Pyrenees a miss, although I may do a day trip on my own out to the mountains when we're based in San Sebastien for a few days.

Provisional itinerary looks like this for now:

Will share pics and final route when I'm back.

Hasta luego!
