Weekend car - options

In the main I've owned Porsche (air-cooled) 3.2, 930 (5speed), 964 etc over the last 15 years or so but have a hankering for a V8 Vantage. Looks are stunning and I've read good reviews etc. The 4.3 is fine by me MY 2006/7 is where I want to be so could you advise best options to look out for or indeed must have etc, any feedback is most welcome.

Thanks guys. I'll check the book out and take it from there. Won't touch anything without a FSH and condition must be excellent although I'm not adverse to correcting a few issues for the better car. Already taking stick from friends as I've always been a diehard Porsche type but it's time to move on and the Vantage fits the bill

Thanks for the feedback guys much appreciated, in terms of 4.3 or 4.7 I would obviously need to drive both to enable any meaningful personal opinion but I' have driven the 996/997 Turbos which take some beating in the speed stakes and apart from the odd burst of speed on UK roads it seem the track is one of the only places left to enjoy a fast car these days.

So although I don't want a slowcoach, I do want style, sound, a sence of occasion and more importantly a big smile which the Aston would bring (I hope). I'll warn you now I also suffer from OCD where my cars are concerned....
