Sorry I've mentioned this before,
But I really need to get my balancing done on my wheels before my trip to Spain.
I've been told to take it to works which is a 200 mile round trip and a day off work.
Surely it's not that difficult,?
I'm in Derby.

Thanks Mickey a inform ended post.
I've decided now to have geo and balancing but undecided yet as where to go.
I have lost a few weights so the vibration about 100mph is uncomfortable so I must have it done.
I know it's only a car with std wheels but it was the advice I was given by works which prompted my post and Stratstone mini balanced my last car which was never the same as before.
This time I want it spot on but don't wish to be ripped off.
Thanks for the info.

What do you reckon?

Paul

Yes I can confirm we still use the Hunter Hawkeye alignment machine we don’t have black weights though unfortunately, the price for wheel balancing is £6.95 per wheel and for the alignment it would be from £29.95 - £74.95 depending on how many angles/axles need adjusting. We can book this in at your convenience needing the car for about 1.5 hours.

Kind regards,

Michael

Both of those are made by Hunter
IME I'd take it to WIM who aren't too far from you, know what they are doing and will set it up for you the way you want it for less wink

There is little point in asking for advice if you don't want to listen.

Go spend £100 at ETS on your £100k car.

Good luck
I was and ETS was mentioned so I have asked for info from them as there on my doorstep.
But as I have said I'm contacting CG too.
Bit harsh nick.

Cheers Nick I hadn't forgot the advice you have given me earlier just checking out the options.
The reply I got from ETS did give me vibes hence the reason I posted it up.
I have discounted them.
Thanks

Hi, i have spoken to Chris and that's a hour of my life i wont get back.
Anyway for balancing he advises me to use ETS as he has heard of them and there not muppets if they have Hunter equipment, he only has std balancing equipment.
As for geometry if and when im ready to discuss this with him but he feels my car is ok with the info ive given him.
Ive booked it in this Saturday so we will see.

2 wheels under weight and 2 over weight. 1 rear 30g out.
Car feels stiffer round town but tyre pressures were checked too.
Motorway tomorrow.
