Ahhh ... The Virage is back on my drive!

Been "playing away" whilst she has been away being serviced by Harwoods (always a good service from Martin and the team down there) but glad she is back.

Was nice to see a few (and I really mean only 2-3) Aston's on the road recently as a reminder what a beautiful and elegant thing they are.

Looking forward to firing up the V12 tonight and going for a drive on the brand new tyres to check she is ready to eat up Europe over the coming month.

Happy days...

Yes! thumbup

It's about a 200 mile round trip to them, for me, but like others they collect and deliver the car, plus they've always been great so no need to consider anywhere else for me.

The bill was very reasonable also. Put 4 new tyres on as well, first replacement set since new - old ones were almost 4 years old!

I would've been in a McLaren this weekend if it wasn't for some shenanigans...but the Aston is in no way second choice car... V12, around 500bhp and a thing of total beauty to look at! That's not a definition of second choice smilethumbup

Will wait a bit now...but the kids are getting bigger and the rear seats less useable hence the contemplation of different options ... Plus I've never done the supercar thing!

Funnily enough, the 540/570 doesn't appeal for some reason. I 'bought' a 12c last weekend - put the deposit down to pick the car up tomorrow. Sadly, there was a hitch - would it get up the drive ? (twas Jockman's woes that prompted the thinking...) Sadly I had to conclude that I would need one with the axle lifter. So I'm back to looking...

I'm in no particular rush and, with the next generation of Aston's out not much later in 2016(??), it does make me wonder how good the next gen cars will be...and would I regret the move...

Having seen and got back into the Virage yesterday, it's a great reminder that it's a really very special car and going to love it even more driving it across Europe soon.

That said, I can be an impulsive so and so...biggrin

Close call
Front clearance was one of my concerns
I though the 650 had 4 wheel lift as standard?
650 does have it - and needs it more than a 12c I think. The 12c, it's optional. But a good option to have!
